Does Stone Soup Antiques Gallery buy antiques? The gallery reviews and evaluates the
applications for dealer space on a regular basis.
This process includes a review of experience, quality of
merchandise, knowledge of the antiques business and the ability to
frequently service their dealer space.
References from other dealers and antique malls are helpful.
Include photos of your other displays if possible. Only antiques (pre-1900) or vintage
collectibles (pre-1950) can be sold.
The gallery has a strict policy prohibiting any reproductions or
currently made merchandise. The
gallery requires all merchandise to be properly labeled as to its
identity and age if known. The gallery currently has a waiting list
for dealer space. However, we are working on an expansion plan
which will double our present space of 6,500 square feet. Applications are reviewed when they are received, so be sure to
fill out your application early. (Click

You will be advised at to whether or not your application has
been accepted and where you place on the waiting list. Dealers of quality antiques and collectibles are considered regularly for addition to the gallery. All items sold at the gallery must be genuinely old, accurately described and in very good to excellent condition. Dealer contracts are on a month-to-month basis. Rental rates are $2.00 per square foot for floor space (example: 10'x10' space is $200 per month) and $135 per month for a locked showcase measuring 6"H x 4'W x 16"D. A commission of 10% is charged to every sale to cover credit card processing fees, secure check processing fees and other administrative costs such as advertising. The gallery does offer incentives for those dealers who qualify to work. These incentives include a reduced square footage rate of $1.85 and showcase rate of $85, as well as no commission charged, but dealers will be charged 5% for every credit card purchase. The work incentive requires three days per month with at least one of those days being a Saturday or Sunday. There are other work incentive requirements that must be met that would be outlined during the interview.
